Interview with "The New-Paper"

NP: First thing first, how you guys started this band?
BL: It’s started when we have nothing else better to do in a sunday afternoon. On new year’s day.

NP: Can you guys tell us what is the influence in your music?
BL: Our influence is on the songs, the painting, the photographs, the handle, the little bell thing on the bicycle, the rim, and of course the beef slices on Domino’s Hawaiian pizza.

NP: How you guys write your songs?
BL: The songs just happen. It’s a happening. *%^$*^)&^DS&^* We just sat there, came out with a brief concept, press the record button, start strumming the guitars and come out with words. It’s very natural. We love greens.

NP: To quote what you’ve stated about the band that Bicycle Lunch is a public band, how the people collaborate in making music?
BL: We collaborate with everything, the air, the water, our systems, anything that can make sound. But we dont collaborate with the band members, we’re not collaborating, we’re creating the universe! Together gether!

NP: what a pretentious stoner’s answer
BL: *giggle to each other*

NP: You seem very comfortable and confident in singing your song. Any intention behind that?
BL: Singing is not a skill, its a way of expression, just like kissing the trees. It doesnt need confidence, we just do it. Express ourselves. Our intention is to sing something straight from the brain to the mouth. To deliver things we want to say in split second. Well, we don’t know what meaning it actually brings and what are the purpose of the songs either.

NP: Have you guys thought of cannibalize your own stuff?
BL: Yeah we do, we eat out songs all the time! We eat it and we go with the groove, we sing and dance all night long!

NL: That sounds great. Last question for today, what you guys usually eat during jamming?
BL: We eat the sound of our sweet voices and humming guitar sounds with hints of domino’s pizza aroma!

Bicycle Lunch - Story of A Man With An Empty Pocket

Disclaimer:

This is a one-time-shot trial as well. A song about a broke man who can’t buy himself good food anymore. It is kind of response song toward “Yum Yum Around The Town.” Kasian betul. Ck ck ck.

We try so hard to have fun and have a good lunch. So hard, that we nearly died by overloaded dreams inside our bottomless stomaches. Bicycle Lunch

Bicycle Lunch - Robbery’s Blues

Disclaimer:

This song is a spontaneously recorded by Bicycle Lunch. All guitar riffs, lyrics, song arrangement, backing vocals are created on the spot. No rehearsal were done before that, so expect a whole lotta grammar errors, and time wasting parts. It’s a story about a tragic robbery.

What The Hell Is This Band Doing?

Okay. We are pretty confident about what we have done. Basically it all happened in a sudden. We have never planned any of these, be it writing songs or singing our heart out. Even if there are people want to bitch about what we do, we don’t really care either.

And we do really keep it low since we’re still lack of this and that. But at least we are doing something to make us busy this year. Just in case you are wondering who are the people who seem like they have so much time to do this hobby *as what we call it nowadays*, you can always check out our little site for some faceless snapshots. Or you might spot the member around as well, since they pretty good in attending music gig and flea markets on weekend.

We are the next zits that will irritate your ears in this generation. We are not that good, but we are not that bad either. Let us know if you want to be one of us, anyway.

Buckle up and be ready. Let yourself ride the bicycle lunch.

Who The Hell Is Bicycle Lunch?

The band was spontaneously made on the first day of year two thousand and nine. With combination of 68% practical concern from magical garageband and 32% self-confidences, these unknown heads were agreed to make a new year breakthrough by singing their heart out loud. Their first single “Yum Yum Around The Town” was taken from their first self-titled album “Bicycle Lunch” - a single that rocks their gastrocolic systems in a sudden.
